What makes the planting out of poverty project in Ethiopia special?
These days it's easy to become disheartened by do good projects. We often hear reports of administration and running costs eating up donated funds. We also hear of support that is really only a band-aid treatment to more complex problems. Here at humanity, we are excited about the planting out of poverty project because it works with whole communities to gradually revitalise the degraded soil.  Along the way, farmers learn about sustainable farming practices including how to plant diverse species to produce nutritious food, livestock fodder, timber for construction and wood to use as fuel.
