About Gwyneth Hulse Design
Gwyneth Hulse Design is a boutique woodwork business in Kerikeri. Gwyneth's aim is to showcase the splendour of New Zealand through the beauty of native wood that has been worked into timeless objects. All of the jewellery and home-ware is hand-made by Gwyneth and Dave from native New Zealand timber, including: Pūriri, Rimu, Kauri, Tōtara, and Pōhutukawa. The designs are based on the modernist principles of simplicity, geometry and the celebration of natural materials. Due to the unique nature of the wood and the handmade process, no two objects are alike.
Gwyneth Hulse Design is passionate about working in an environmentally responsible way. The products have a positive impact on others and the planet, by offering beautiful hand-made alternatives to mass-produced products, which people value and care for.
Wood is sourced locally and sustainably, timber is air dried to avoid kiln energy, natural finishes are used and solar power runs machinery in the workshop.
