Our Materials
Organic Cotton
100% of the cotton used to make our clothing is organic certified by GOTS. Organic cotton is grown without the use of chemical pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Using organic cotton means that no hazardous or toxic substances have been used on the land. This ensures a safe environment for farmers and their families. It avoids any kind of pesticide poisoning which can lead to multiple health problems.
Recycled Polyester
Recycled Polyester is used to make our our jackets and up to 15% of our sweatshirts. Recycled polyester gives you the same performance you get in virgin polyester, with a much smaller footprint. Polyester can be recycled again and again, without significantly degrading in quality. It provides a valuable use for post-consumer and post-industrial plastic.
Soy Wax
Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. Once harvested, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated.
Soy wax comes from an eco-friendly and renewable source. It contains no GMO material and is non-toxic.
Wicks
Our wooden wicks are made from native, sappy trees including oak, cypress, cherry, or maple. The wicks are non-toxic and FSC certified.
Our soft wicks are made from cotton and cotton with a paper core and braid running through the wick. This design helps to deliver a more complete combustion and a cleaner burn. Our wicks are also lead and zinc free.
